What Prismic offers with AI

What Prismic offers and doesn't offer for creating and customizing pages with AI, what is still in beta, and what may come next.

Answer

Yes, Prismic offers AI page creation, but most of it is new or still in beta

Prismic offers AI for creating and editing pages, but it works differently from an AI writing tool built into the editor. Its main tool is the Prismic MCP, launched in June 2026. It connects Claude, ChatGPT and similar tools to the website's content. An editor describes what they want in the chat, the AI builds or updates pages using the site's existing modules (slices), and the result appears in Prismic as a draft to review and publish. Inside Prismic itself, the AI tools are smaller helpers, and most of them are still in beta.

Available today

  • Create and edit pages from a chat in Claude or ChatGPT through the Prismic MCP. It is free on every plan, and nothing goes live without review.
  • Changes across many pages at once, such as rewriting SEO descriptions, adding missing alt text or updating a message site-wide.
  • One-click page translation that keeps the layout and links. The first translations are free, then each one is paid.
  • Many versions of one page from a spreadsheet, using the SEO and ABM landing page agents. These are sold separately through Prismic's sales team.
  • AI coding tools for developers, so new modules and fixes can be built faster.

Not available today

  • A full AI writing space inside Prismic. The main page-creation tool runs in a separate chat app, not in the editor.
  • New layouts or design changes from AI. AI can only fill in and arrange existing slices. A new kind of section still needs a developer.
  • Generally available editor AI. The in-editor assistant, Google Docs and Notion import and SEO suggestions are beta features that must be requested.
  • Clear AI pricing. There is no published AI plan or price list. Pricing is free, per translation, on request or by quote, depending on the feature.
  • AI usage reporting across the team.

Beta today, and what may come next

Most of Prismic's AI should be treated as early-stage. Apart from the MCP and translation, the editor features are labelled beta and are switched on by request. Prismic is adding features quickly. For example, the MCP gained the ability to publish two months after it launched. Prismic's public roadmap lists AI-assisted slice building as in progress, and Prismic has said that improving AI translation is a priority. Prismic now presents itself as an "agentic web platform", so more AI inside the editor and a more formal AI offer and pricing are likely in the coming months. None of this is promised. Plans should be based on what is available today and confirmed with Prismic.
